My salesman Zane was great. He was knowledgeable and understood exactly the vehicle I wanted. The whole process was smooth and easy from ordering the Ram 1500 to early delivery and financing. We purchased a brand-new 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit expecting a luxury vehicle and a reliable ownership experience. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing and concerning. With fewer than 1,000 miles on the vehicle, we began experiencing issues that led to the vehicle being taken in for service. During the diagnostic process, the dealership discovered an aftermarket tracking device installed in the vehicle’s data link connector. This device had not been disclosed to us at the time of purchase. According to the service findings, the tracker was associated with a CAN C bus performance fault, and the dealership removed it while diagnosing the vehicle’s issues. We are deeply concerned that an undisclosed device was installed in our brand-new vehicle and that we have experienced electrical and other vehicle-related problems so early in ownership. What should have been an exciting purchase has instead become a stressful and frustrating experience involving repeated concerns, service visits, and uncertainty about the vehicle’s reliability. I have owned the car less than 3 months and it’s been in the shop for about 5 weeks in total and I do not have a loaner vehicle. We purchased a Summit expecting quality, transparency, and peace of mind. Instead, we are left questioning the condition of our vehicle, the lack of disclosure, and how this situation was allowed to happen. We hope our experience encourages other buyers to ask questions, carefully review their service records, and understand exactly what is being installed in their vehicles before taking delivery.

Now, before anyone says it — yes, they did not purchase an extended warranty, and yes, I understand that gives the dealership something to stand on. But here’s the part that really leaves a bad taste in my mouth: Not one phone call. Not one message. Not even a simple, “We’re sorry this happened. Is there anything we can do to help?” Nothing. That’s especially disappointing because my husband and I have purchased multiple vehicles from Spruce Pine Chevrolet over the years, and I have always made them one of my first choices when it came time to purchase a vehicle. We’ve supported their business, trusted them with our purchases, and recommended them to others. I understand that dealerships can’t be responsible for every mechanical failure that happens after a vehicle is sold. That’s business. But customer service is a choice. When a family with three young children has a major vehicle failure less than two weeks after buying a vehicle from you, you don’t necessarily have to fix it for free. Sometimes, simply picking up the phone and showing that you care goes a long way, or even offering to help pay some on the new transmission. Instead, the message we received was essentially, “You didn’t buy the warranty, so good luck.” So here’s my shout-out: Congratulations, Spruce Pine Chevrolet. 🏆 You may have technically had the warranty argument to stand on, but you certainly didn’t have to stand on it while completely ignoring a family who just spent their hard-earned money with your business. Loyalty is earned. Customer service matters. And sometimes the way you handle a problem after the sale says far more about your business than the sale itself. I sincerely hope the next family that purchases a vehicle from you gets the customer service that we expected after all these years of doing business with you. Went last week to fix an issue with my Genesis. Technician who worked on my car came out to meet me and shared the details. Customer service was great! I like that he was honest with me explaining what needed to be done and also what did NOT need to be done. So, my wife's car needed the oil changed and I took it back today. Same great experience. I appreciate the attention to detail and how all the employees were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this Service Center.

UPDATE - They still never called….. We bought a vehicle here on March 4th. Spruce Pine Chevrolet has owed us $500 ever since, and has spent more than six months avoiding paying it. Our purchase price was negotiated around an estimated trade payoff. The actual payoff came in lower, which should have brought the sale price down by the same amount. It didn't. When I raised it, the dealership agreed to mail us a check for $500. It never came. I've now talked to three different employees about this. Every single one claims my emails never arrived and my calls were never received. Every single one promises to call me back. Not one of them ever has. The salesperson who originally agreed to the refund no longer works there, and nobody who replaced him will take responsibility for what he committed to in writing. They have the money, they agreed to return it, and they've decided that ignoring me is cheaper than paying. Buy here at your own risk, and get every dollar in writing before you sign anything.

Had a very positive experience with Eric buying my new car at Hi-line. He was very transparent and answered my many questions which made for a great car buying experience. Liked working with these guys. Would recommend Hi-line any day.

Had a great experience this past Friday working with both Rich and Carl. I was able to get everything agreed to and arranged before even stepping into the dealership and requested everything be ready when I arrived due to a work obligation. When I arrived, the car was detailed and ready to go and paperwork was prepared. I was in and out in less than an hour and Carl was able to get it done with a lower interest rate than my credit union was offering. Overall great experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from Rich again.

I purchased my Jeep here and was told a spare key was on back order and they would reach out when it was ready. Every time I call or came in, they tell me it’s still on back order. It FINALLY arrives and they tell me it’s been longer than 30 days so they can’t just give me the key and there was no note in the system about the key. It is $250 for the key and $120 to program it to my car. I would advise to avoid this dealership as they will say what they need to sell the car but not follow up on the promises they make. They also told me I had 3 free oil changes, not including my jeep wave oil changes. I used my jeep wave oil changes at a closer dealership and when I came to use my free oil change they said it was no longer valid. Just really disappointed how they have handled everything after I drove the car off the lot.

I've bought two new vehicles in the past two weeks and it has by far been the easiest I've ever experienced. Jarrod Buchanan went out of his way to make sure I was where I wanted to be on payment and my wife and I couldn't be happier with our new vehicles. Thanks Spruce Pine Chevrolet.

I bought my Jeep three years ago from here. Patrick was my sales agent and told me they did not have a second key on site but that he would call me in a week once it arrived. He never called me. We told them no we were promised this key when we paid for the car. The employee in the service area even told us it had been on back order for three years so there was no way we could have gotten the key before May 2026. We were told that’s not their problem and then asked us to leave the store. If you are looking to buy from here I would just save the time and spend a little more somewhere else. They are not reliable and don’t hold true to their promises.

I bought a Challenger from Marion back in 2024. I noticed a small hose had popped off that had been connected to my airbox. Looked like it just needed reattaching. I called and asked service if i could bring the car in to have the hose reattached as I was concerned about driving the car with a hose unattached. Well, that was a No. I am not driving and sitting at a dealership for nothing. I was told they could get it in middle of next week. Well, I am not driving my car with an unattached hose for a week. These guys were happy to take my money back in 24 when I bought the car but they couldn't help me out when I needed it. Anyway, I ended up taking the car to a friend of mine who knows cars. He reattached that hose no kidding in less than 5 minutes. Just had to pop the plastic valve cover off, reattach it and put the cover back on. So, Marion couldn't spare what would have been 5 minutes of their time today. Too busy. Well, they won't get anymore of my money. I'll stick to Steve White for my Mopar needs.

Incompetent service department! I needed recall work done on my 2019 Ram Promaster van. My appointment was for 9 am July 20th. I arrived and was told they were short a tech, could they keep it and do the work Tuesday. I caved and said yes. They called Tuesday and asked to do the work on Wednesday. No word from them Wednesday, nothing on Thursday. Friday morning I had my neighbor drive me down to get the van. I was done. They were working on it so I waited, and drove it home. Yesterday I drove the van 8 miles and it overheated. I had to park on the side of the highway. Called them and a tow. When we arrived they discovered a radiator hose disconnected. Directly related to the recall work done! No apologies. They don’t care apparently. I have other recall work I need taken care of but these people will never touch my van again! Sloppy work. No quality control checks. Poor to no communication.

Took my jeep there to have a motor replaced. The experience started off great then it went to hell in a hand basket fast. I got a call asking in I wanted to do a belt and a thermostat while the the motor was out of the vehicle and that my warranty will not cover those parts and I'd have to pay out of pocket in which I agreed to. a week later I got another phone call saying that my motor mounts we're bad and I needed spark plugged and it's going to be 150 per motor amount. I told them no. I will do that myself. (All 3 are leas then what they charged for one. a week goes by. They call me and tell me my vehicle is done in the total. I asked why the total was so high. They told me they did the motor mounts and the spark plugs that I had taken that to and that I had to pay it even though I had told them though. This is Extortion at its finest. I would not recommend service department to anybody.

Never have experienced such a poorly run dealership. Sales was a very poor experience. Ryan never went over the operation of the vehicle with us since many options were changed from our previous one. Never received a typical thank you from the salesman nor a checkup call just to see how things were going. The majority of the sales experience was done by Dale, due to his position at the dealership he had to turn it over to a salesperson. PDI was not done. The detailed people are subcontractors and their work was certainly subpar. We spent 3 hours properly detailing the vehicle removing sap, bugs and cleaning the interior and interior windows. Phone calls were not returned in a timely manner concerning accessories ordered. Parts department stated the date parts would be in. That day's come and gone and we've not heard from him. If they're too busy to update the customer, they should learn to delegate. Vehicle has a sill scratch, left front wheel is damaged, no offer to repair sill or replace wheel. Salesman should have caught that before it was turned over to us, pointed it out and said I've got a new wheel ordered already Finance was less than impressive. The payoff check went to the wrong individual. Luckily our bank caught it and helped us get through it. Finance individual said that Chrysler would not warranty parts on a brand new vehicle if part was made in China so we needed to get an extended warranty. Dealership had three days notice to ready the vehicle for us to pickup and still it was not satisfactory. Typically it is the salesman's job to go over the vehicle before delivery he failed terribly. Spoke with the manager in person a few days after receiving the vehicle and all we received were excuses. If you know your employees are not doing their job and require babysitting, do it. It's part of being a manager. So would we recommend this dealership? Heck no, we made a big mistake by not going to a Chrysler dealership in Waynesville or Asheville. We'd already had a relationship with the Waynesville dealership. They treated us fairly, the sales staff were very attentive and the manager offered to do anything to get our business. We made a grandiose mistake. If you're the least bit particular and expect good service, go elsewhere.

From start to finish absolutely horrendous service from this dealership. I bought a truck from this place and I regret even walking in the door. I go there on the 3rd of July to find they're closed for the holiday. At no point did I get a call saying they're were closed. I go up they're and the sales person tell me I shouldn't have scheduled through the app cuz it doesn't work right. xxx??? Really??! I was scheduled to leave for a a trip out west on Monday but now I have change my plans because this dealership can't seem to get anything right . Again the biggest regret is ever walking through the doors of this place to do business.

Lady online was super nice and said they would hold the car, unfortunately when I showed up at my appointment time they said walk in were looking at it currently and said they are first come first serve despite saying it would be held later they said the walk in had a appointment too so either thay double booked or lied about holding very disappointed.

Was doing a search for a 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the Duramax 3.0 l turbo diesel. And in doing the search I found where a lot of dealerships in Western North Carolina and Tennessee had list prices below the manufacturer suggested retail price. Except for this group. They added over $20,000 to their manufacturer Suggested retail price. The manufacturer suggested retail price for the truck was 66,000 and they marked it up to $83, 000. Any dealership that gouges or takes advantage of customers to increase their own profit, during a time of high cost of living should be put out of business.

On my way to Mitchell Co the van broke down. Half way up the mountain the RPM shoot up but the speedometer said 25. Sounded like it was going blow up. Coasted down to a safe place had it towed. The service guy called said nothing was wrong, swore they drove the van and tried to recreate what happened. I asked multiple times if they actually test drove it. Yes!! Almost $300 and straight lies to my face. Same mileage as when they towed it.

They go out of their way to make the process smooth. This is our second vehicle that we purchased from Hi-line.
